We believe that our Educators are an outstanding team of staff and one of our greatest assets, and as a result we pride ourselves not only the quality of the staff that we choose for our centre, but also the way that we look after them to ensure their work is continually of the highest standard.

Osborne Park Educators
Booragoon Educators

We provide them with regular in-house training and assistance in furthering their own qualifications. We strive to create an environment in which our Educators are supported through their own personal and professional development. We work together to form a team who respect, value and share our knowledge and skills to provide an interesting and fun environment through out the day for each and every child.

Our dedicated Educators are carefully chosen and have the appropriate educational background to ensure quality care. They are friendly, patient, enthusiastic, understanding, trustworthy and model positive attitudes and behaviour.

We work as a team sharing responsibilities and have the ability to relate openly to children and adults. Starbright Educators are all trained in early development with a balance of mature, qualified and experienced staff.

Our Educators give lots of personalised support, love and attention to all children; this approach creates a fun environment throughout the day for each and every child.

Our Early Childhood Teacher

Overseeing our curriculum at the centre is our early childhood teacher, who strives to ensure that our environment, educators and learning programme are maximising your children’s learning opportunities. With a degree in early education and teaching they co-ordinate the planning and experiences provided for your children throughout the centre, ensuring quality education and care programmes.

Hello, my name is Janelle Ienco.
I am the proud owner and Director of Starbright early learning. I hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and have been in the childcare industry for 25 years.
I am also a very proud mother of 2 beautiful children, Jordana & Rocco.
I was pregnant with Jordana, now aged 15yrs old when I started the process to open Starbright Osborne Park, then again pregnant with Rocco, now aged 12yrs when Starbright Booragoon followed. My children have been part of this wonderful journey since they were young babies and I was fortunate to have them both in my care while I was committed to being a working mum and doing what I love to do!

Our family decided to open our own childcare to be able to provide our community with a safe environment for children and families that is an extension of their own home.

Starbright Early Learning Osborne Park was established in 2008 and our South centre in Booragoon came about not long after in 2010.
Operating 2 centres and being a Mum has had its challenges but it has also been one of the most rewarding things I have done. My Mother Luci cooks with love for our children at Osborne Park as well as my Dad, Husband and Brothers are our everyday handymen.

Both Starbright’s have been rated “Exceeding” the national quality standards.
Our Starbright family of Educators are an outstanding team of professionals and one of our greatest assets. Starbright is what it is because of them. We pride ourselves not only for having a family of dedicated, passionate, nurturing and experienced educators that we choose to look after your children, but also importantly the way we support our family of educators like our own family, this creates the right culture that reflects our philosophy and
commitment to providing you with a second family home-like environment for your children.

Hello everyone, My name is Tayla and I have been apart of the Starbright family since a young age, now going on almost 10 years, Starbright will always be my home away from home.
My journey began from the moment I started and I continue to fall in love with becoming an Educator, a leader, a role model and a mother.
What brings me so much love and joy is to care for the children, making me smile each and every day. Watching all of the children grow and achieve many wonderful accomplishments along the way, being able to be there to observe all these beautiful memories and moments where the adventures begin and follow on to blossom throughout the year to come. Being apart of Starbright has made me feel like I am surrounded by my beautiful family everyday.
I am so blessed that I am able to bring my son here and continue our journey at Starbright together. One big happy family.
The joy and happiness from the children creates something special as we work together with the families to create a loving learning environment.
It has truly been an absolute honour to be apart of Starbright and I look forward to continuing my journey here for many more years to come.

I have always been passionate about Early years and the importance of nurturing childrens development in the first few years of life.
Originally from England, it was this passion that inspired me to not only complete my Diploma in Childcare and Education but also an Early Years teaching degree. Since completing my training I have over 10 years of Early Childhood Experience, caring for babies from as young as 11 weeks until children of 5 years old.
I made the move to Australia in 2016, and immediately found a second home at Starbright. A centre with educators and a director that not only share my passion and love of Early Childhood, but have diverse backgrounds and strengths but with a shared vision of the importance of the well being of the children.
As the Pre Kindy Lead Educator I love the natural curiosity, imagination and creativity that I witness the children portray on a daily basis and I have such a sense of achievement when I am able to provide support and guidance to them, allowing them to scaffold their own learning,
My greatest joy is knowing that each day I am not only providing knowledge to these children, but as an Early Years Educator providing them with comfort when they are sad, a safe place when they feel worried, a familiar face to talk to when needed, an enriching environment when they feel inquisitive patience when they are developing their independence, a bubbly personality when they are feeling playful and any other emotion and personality skill that they made need on a daily basis

Hi, my name is Lana and I am a mother of 2 young adults. For the last 15 years I have been working within the childcare industry, and in my time at Starbright I have had the pleasure of working in all age groups.
I love caring for children and working closely with families. It is important for me that children feel safe, secure and comfortable, making the Starbright environment an extension of their home environment.
My passion has always been teaching, having nature and art as my foundation of learning and I am so lucky to share this passion with young minds. I believe that art helps children to identify and express their feelings and ideas in different and new forms. I would like to offer children enough time to experience painting, drawing, working with clay and many more learning experiences.
As an educator I believe families are a fundamental part of our role in teaching and I want them to understand that they are and always will be the most important part of their childs life and education. I want to make each person who comes to our centre feel included and welcomed.
I am looking forward to working with all the families and children at the centre to provide high quality care to each individual child.

      Hello, my name is Carin.
I have worked in the childcare industry for 20 years. I first started working part time in a childcare centre after school and found such happiness in being around the children. I then started working full time and completed my CERT III in Childrens Services.
I am mother to my beautiful 12 year old boy who is a daily inspiration and reminder of how grateful I am.
I started working at Starbright when it first opened over 10 years ago and was very fortunate to be able to have my son by my side. I understand how hard it can be to have to leave your baby in a new environment and I want to be able to have you leave feeling confident that they will receive the same love and care you would provide as a parent. I am so privileged to be able to work in such a loving, family orientated centre where the children are such a priority as they are our future generation.

My name is Shereena, My journey at Starbright and the pathway to Early learning all started 5 years ago when my own children attended the centre. Each day I dropped them off, tears would roll, not only for my boys, but for myself and with continually understanding, love and guidance from all the educators that anxiety changed.
If not for the philosophy each of these women held and the difference they made to my boys, I do not think I would have understood the true meaning behind an Early childhood setting. Because of this it gave me the drive to want to do the same, make a difference to future generations and their little minds as well as the hearts of the carers.
Two and a half years later, I find myself continuing with a CERT III in Early Childhood Education and Care with a vision to complete my Diploma to develop more of an understanding to this passion I hold.
I continually endeavour to bring a smile, a feeling of warmth and the safety we should all feel when in childcare.
I look forward to meeting you and your family and building life long memories throughout your childs journey.

I am currently on the final stretch of completing my CERT II in Early Childhood and Education, though that is not the end of my learning journey as I hope to go on and study my Diploma.
I have taken many different avenues in my past 13 years of working, from hospitality to banking and everything in between, but somehow I was constantly drawn to and intrigued by children and their early development.
About 7 years ago I began working for a family in Perth, looking after their 4 beautiful children and from that point on I found myself surrounded by job offers for childminding. Since then I have worked for 5 families in Perth and 3 families in the UK, and I have even been a short term live in acting as sole carer whilst the parents where away on overseas travel.
Last year I made the decision to enter this ever so rewarding field. I chose Early Childhood Education on the basis that, No matter what I was doing this burning desire to understand, guide, nurture, empower and support children just would not go away.
There are so many reasons why I love the privilege of being trusted to care for children but something summed it up for me in our recent Reggio training and that is, The Hundred Languages of Children from Loris Malaguzzi.
