Communication with Parents

Starbright early learning centre understands you really want to know what your child is learning. We believe that communication between the carers, parents and children to be most important. We encourage parental participation in programming and value your constructive input. We have a comprehensive communication system to keep you involved in your child's development and progress:

What we did today

Your child's journal will keep you in touch with everything your child is learning and all the fun your child is enjoying.

Weekly Programme

Our detailed programme outlines the developmentally appropriate fun activities that help children develop physical, intellectual, emotional and social skills for every age level. Providing children with activities that match their developmental individual needs and abilities, ensures that learning occurs easily and naturally. Every activity, every procedure and even every toy has been designed to support the development and well-being of your child.

Peep-at-a-Week

We'll give you our weekly programme, highlighting our objectives and the skills your child is learning every week, so you can participate at home.

Progress notes and Assessments You'll receive periodic progress reports from your child's Star Carer, based on observations.

Scheduled Parent Conferences

We'll make a time convenient for both and we will sit down one-on-one to review your child's development and individual needs.

Starbright Newsletters

You will receive a newsletter every 6-8 weeks with details of all currents events held in your child's room and at the centre.

Starbright's Daily Activities

We spend a big part of our day singing, laughing, dancing, playing and exploring, indoors and out. So much to do, so much to learn, so much fun!

Projects

We have daily activities where children use paper, paint, glue and other natural and synthetic resources to make various crafts. These projects develop both their creativity and their fine motor skills.

Games

We participate in a wide variety of educational games, and activities; play with blocks, puzzles, construction, and matching games. We study shapes, colours, letters and numbers to promote cognitive skills.

Outdoor Play

We have an adventurous outdoor play area. Our spacious playground is well shaded and is equipped with child safe gym sets, balance beams, slides, playhouse, sandpit, bikes and even a bike track with crosswalks and traffic signals. We have a wide variety of sport items to promote gross motorĀ development.

Indoor Play

We have separate indoor playrooms for the toddlers and kindy children that are equipped with the best educational toys and equipment, carefully selected to suit all age groups.

Other Activities

We bake cookies and cakes. We sing, dance, dress up, and have dramatic play and puppet shows. We plant, water and grow fruits, vegetables and flowers. Click here to return to the homepage
